For any enquiries about bike bags and cycling bags, please don’t hesitate to contact us; we’d be delighted to assist!

1. Are The Bike Bags Waterproof?

Coming from The Netherlands, Basil knows the importance of making waterproof carrying solutions! As such, you will find many models across collections that are waterproof or water-resistant. This is particularly true of the Discovery, Tarpaulin and Urban Dry ranges.

2. Are Bike Bags Really Useful?

Yes, they are incredibly useful. Not only do they enable you to transport so much more than you could do without a bag, but they are also a lot safer as well. Firstly, they take the weight off parts of your body that would otherwise literally be doing the heavy lifting. So, rather than build up muscle knots, aches and pains by lugging weight in ill-fitting, over-the-shoulder carriers, or even by hand, these babies do all the work. Secondly, they help make you a safer cyclist. Did you ever carry a plastic shopping bag in your hand as you cycled home from the shops as a kid? And if so, how many times did the bag get caught in the wheel? Bike bags help create better balance and weight distribution on the bike, thus making you less of a transporting road hazard!

3. How To Choose The Right Bike Bag For Adventure?

We would definitely recommend the Basil Discovery range when it comes to adventure accessories. This range is e-bike compatible, water-resistant and comes with a great Hook On System.

4. What Is The Biggest Single Bag In The Collection?

Our largest single bag is the Basil Shopper XL, with a capacity of 20L this bag allows you to comfortably transport your essentials for your daily commute, pick up your weekly groceries, or go on your next picnic adventure to your local park.

5. What Is The Biggest Double Bag In The Collection?

Our largest double bag is the Basil Mara XL, with a capacity of 35L this affordable double bag solution easily attaches to your carrier and will never leave you short on somewhere to stow away your all-important essentials. From grocery shopping, to kit and gear for the gym, or your daily commute this water-repellent double bag is the perfect high-capacity partner for your bike.

6. What Is The Right Pannier For A Bike Trip?

The answer comes down to what is the right pannier for your bike trip. Do you need a single or double pannier (e.g., one on one side of the bike or one on either side of the bike)? Are you mainly carrying files and a laptop, or will you be transporting bulkier goods? Whatever the answer, Basil has the right pannier for your riding needs.

7. Where Can You Buy Quality Bike Bags?

You’re here! For sensational quality models at affordable price points, you can’t do better than Dutch brand Basil.
